They are much better than most places. Looks like $33.50 for a three day permit including trout, with additional fees if you are fishing some special areas.

Remember, no trout stamp required as long as you are fishing within the National Park.

Colonel, if you really want to be there at the right time, you need to go to Townsend for Troutfest. I missed at last year, but have been in the past and it is awesome. Lefty Kreh, Bob Clouser, Joe Humphreys and Tom Rosenbauer will all be there doing demonstrations. There are tons of vendors, lots of fly tying and there are also 800 miles of wild mountain trout streams available.
