    Here comes the Rain

Been watching the weather coming up for the next week. We may be in for some serious flooding and storms along the Tennessee River valley. So the water at Lakes along the river may be way up for a while. Everybody be safe out there, they are talkin tornados.

    Re: Here comes the Rain

Lousiville - looks like they are calling for 1.5 to 2" of rain total, starting Wed. night and continuing on through Thursday night, with the heaviest rainfall on Thurs. night.

Certainly will wash the salt off the road! I better go clean the leaves out of the drain pipes...

Whoa! For Sun. and Mon. there's a total of about 3" expected! That's a good ways away, but hey, you just never know!

    Re: Here comes the Rain

Just what we need to get a kick start on some spawn runs. Waters to clear and could use a good rain to cloud it up. Just hope it's not as forecast. 3" to 4" is what I saw on the forecast. A bit much just have to wait and see. Already predicting flooding of the Mississippi as the heavy snows begin to melt off. Could be a wet and wild spring.

    Re: Here comes the Rain

With the melt down in the dakotas, the red river might have another flood of the century,so this late spring may be a little dicey on some of our lakes as they start holding back the waters, wonder how it will affect barren, cumberland and dale?

    Re: Here comes the Rain

There are areas of TN and southern KY expecting 4" with up to 10" localized rain fall totals next tuesday. We may be in for a repeat of last spring in the TN river valley.

here is a good read about what is coming...

Thumbs up Re: Here comes the Rain

i see most everyone uses weather.com. I am always comparing them and i would say that the http://www.accuweather.com/us/ky/lou...st-details.asp
usually has a more accurate forcast. they are calling for 1.73in.
    IMO

    Re: Here comes the Rain

I have recently learned about the blog that Chris Bailey, formerly a weatherman for a
lexington station has. He is now with a severe weather forecasting unit. I have been
using his blog and he has a more accurate forecast than any others. Site is below.
Give it a try and I do think you will agree with me.
