I hope so............I pick them, dry them.........GRIND them up, and smoke them.....
Man oh man........they are GOOD.
Looking forward to my yeller flower fix.
If they are not able to get the water levels back down in the next week or so, don't plan on it. Water is still rising right now and is projected to top summer pool by midnight on Thursday.
What species are those things anyway?
I always heard them called mustard flowers but I doubt they are any specie of mustard.
Look up "mustard grass" - looks pretty close to me.
The mustard grass has to grow along the water's edge first. It doesn't grow in the water.
With the water already up when it should be growing, it doesn't look good for this year.
The Ohio River has been way up for the last two or three weeks, limiting the amount of water that can be released by KY and Barkley Dams.
yah art, this is just about the way it went last year, before the flowers could bloom the water came up and stayed up, well maybe next year! The mustard grass has to grow along the water's edge first. It doesn't grow in the water.

Does this screw up those of us who plan the for the 1st week of May? This reminds me of 2008 got there May 1st and it was lead in banks and no flowers and the bush bite done. My nightmares have begun!
