Has anybody fished this lake for crappie around this time of the year? I'm headin down this weekend.

It's been about 10 years since I went but I've went in fall and spring and the fishing was great. Huge messes of crappie. I believe it's a 10" limit. Also if you like catfishing, and are around bay springs marina, stand on the boat dock leading to the covered slips by the cleaning station and cast out about 20ft away from the ramp. we went in May of this year, it was kinda slow the first couple of days but got really good...those crappie in there are huge!!! I'm not sure what they will be doing this time of year but we had success fishing around the bridges with minnows...best part about that place is how friendly the locals are, just ask them what the crappie are doing...good luck
