    Green River Open Tournament 4/9

The University of Louisville fishing team will be hosting there second open tournament of the season at Green River Saturday April 9th. These tournaments are put on to help us pay for some of the expenses for travelling to fish national college tournaments and to make more people aware of our fishing team. This tournament should be a really good one with the warmer weather this week because this lake just flat out turns on this time of year. Entry fee is $70 per boat which includes a $10 big fish pot. The payback is 70% of total pot and 100% on big fish pot. If you have any questions, post them on here or call me at 502-724-9772.

    Thanks,
    Lee

The flyer for the U of L tournament says Lone Valley which is located in the state park. There is 3 ramps located inside the state park;one is in the Lone Valley campgrounds for people only using the campsite, one is Lone Valley ramp which is open to the public and the other is State Park Marina ramp located close to the dam.

When people refer to a public ramp in the State Park it could be one of two different ramps located a couple of miles from each other;State Park Marina or Lone Valley...and if that is not confussing enough remember that the lake falls on a time line. If using your GPS as a time clock with the time set for auto update be aware of where the time line is or you will be 1 hour late for weigh in...never happend to me but I know somebody that did not get to weigh a good bag of fish because they used their GPS clock on the south end of the lake CST and the weight in was on the north end EST

Angler's only had 9 or 10 boats at their Cumberland tourney. I doubt that they will have many, you have to fish 3 of 4 with one tourney on the Ohio River to get in their classic...all payouts were based on a 50 boat field. I could be suprised though.

Anglers outpost tournament is going out of the State Dock Marina. There is supposed to be a bigger turn out for this tournament. Water was real a high at Cumberland.

We will be launching at approximately 7 o'clock eastern time and the weigh in will be at 3 o'clock. The weigh in time will confirmed at the pre tournament meeting. The launch is from the Lone Valley ramp. Thanks!

It's going to be great weather tomorrow and should be an awesome day of fishing as well with the warming water temperatures down there. Hope some of you all can make it out there tomorrow.
