Anyone watch the F-150 ECOBOOST torture test on WAVE today

I'm watching it now..........and all I can say is HOLY COW.

Here are the tests it has done so far:

* 150k simulated miles changing the outside temperature extremes from 80 degrees to -20 degrees

* Then they took that same motor, and dropped it into a new truck and drove it to Oregon, where they pulled 22 logs weighing a total of 55 tons 1/2 mile to be loaded.

* Then they took that same truck and drove it to Miami florida, and ran it around the Homestead racetrack an average of 80mph pulling 11,300 lbs of trailer....for 24 hours.......over 1600 miles.

* Then they drove it to Phoenix Arizona........to Davis DAM 6% grade for 10 miles. RACE against Dodge and Chevy......V8's. Pulling 11,000 lbs of TRAILER. The f-150 smoked them.

* Then they pulled the motor and put it into a Baja Racer.......and ran the freakin Baja 1000.......HOLY COW.

* THEN they did a motor tear down at an autoshow.

WAY COOL.

And BTW.........my next truck will prob be a Ford with the Ecoboost........BOOYA.

That Ecoboost is a hoss.

I bought a 2010 on a deal, which has the old standby 5.4L Triton. It's not as fancy as the new Ecoboost, but it'll do.
