I had a trip scheduled to Ky lake the first week of May. I had scheduled to take my vacation then. Unfortunately my buddy (who has the boat) got sick and missed two weeks of work. Now he cant go. We had discussed tent camping or renting a cheap one room lodge for a few days. At this point my trip that I was very excited about seems about to fall through leaving me with no fishing options for that week. I live in Louisville but I am willing to travel. My budget is kinda tight. I would be fine with camping somewhere by myself and meeting someone somewhere to go fishing during the day. If anyone can help it would be deeply appreciated. I am also a Mason so if I got to attend a lodge during that week away from Louisville it would be an added bonus. Please PM me if you can help. Thanks in advance.

Wish i could help ya out, but can't at this present time.
A suggestion if you cannot go to Kentucky lake is check out fishing Elkhorn Creek outside of Frankfort. You can rent a kayak at Canoe Kentucky. You might also try fishing up in Blue River in Indiana; there is a place there to rent canoes. They may also have kayaks. I am not sure about camping in those areas.
If you have a kayak I would go ahead and go to Kentucky lake. I have fished out of my kayak there; well at Barkley; not Kentucky Lake. Just some suggestions if you cannot find someone.
