Gas Price totally out of hand!!

Just got a call from a friend who tells me gas in $4.20 in Southern Indiana and $4.10 across the river in Kentucky today. Afraid to check our local prices!!

This is totally out of hand, with no justification, other then investors/speculators driving up the price. Hate to give in, but should the government step in????

PS, not sure how current this web site is on pricing, but FYI:

I paid $3.77 this morning about 9:00am and by lunch the same station was $4.05....I'm at a loss for words. To fill up my F150 (36 gallon tank) is about $145.00 right now....and that is insane.

It is going to KILL this country's economy from top to bottom...

Just when you think things can't get any worse, have the government jump in and then watch and see how bad things can get.

Government - Just a bunch of the biggest, most lying, stealing, cheating, coniving, two faced, hypocritical son of a guns I've ever seen. Can't trust none of em'! Fire em' all!

Don't let the people fear the government, let the govenment fear the people!

Sorry...kind of getting off course here, just feeling kind of anti-government these days. I wonder what our good friend Willie Nelson has been up to lately?

Im with chubs. The only thing the government should be doing about fuel prices is eliminating their taxes on fuel.

Oh no, gotta keep the taxes up on gas...maybe even increase it...because, you know, the oil companies won't just pass that down the line to the consumer.

Gas taxes are probably a pretty good money-maker for our government...

Gas tax per gallon: diesel tax per gallon
    Illinois .69 .762
    Kentucky .409 .439
    Indiana .62 .765
    Missouri .357 .417

One of the reasons Oil prices are so high besides the speculators is we have printed billions and billions of dollars and devalued the dollar so opec raises the price to compensate.

Blaming the government for Big Oil greed is not going to solve your problems. Like blaming your fireman because your doctor is late.

Wake up. As long as people shift the blame it will not get better. If you take off the tax, big oil will make up price reduction, If you let Big oil run roughshod with drilling, you and I will clean it up and big oil is not going to discount gas.

Even now there is no difference in Texas, Alaskan oil than Saudi, Kuwait oil.

So I bame stupid people (including myself) that just keep going with the flow. Protest any action to move off oil dependanced, help spread the Big oil propaganda message and on and on and on and on.

Yes I love my car, I love my boat. We have a tradition and life that centers around cars. I think we can still keep our cars but we need to lesson the dependance on them and big oil. Car for interstate, vacation travel. Golf cart for run to town. If you took a golf cart on the road today you would be killed within 2 miles.

Anyway Gobment did'nt raise the gas price at the pump, big oil did. Any other belief is idiocy.
