I don't know if this would help or not, however, I fish Lake Barkley every year around this time and if you can find some buckbrush in coves, you will be very likely to find bluegill and redear. Most likely some pea gravel too...

Im new to the area and I launch and fish the area around paris landing state park and I can't find any gravel banks because of the stained water. The reason im looking is to find some bluegill beds so my wife can catch some fish. Any info would really be appreciated.

As soon as you come out of the Landing at Paris turn left and go into the first cove. Watch how you go in the front, stay to the left. The entire cove is pea gravel and an excellent spot for spawning gills and read ear. Bass as well.
Good luck!
