Yes it survived the high water we had, while it may have thinned it,seemingly not as much as last year.
A trip south showed more pond weed than normal, bays and main lake islands, with some milfoil in some bays and hydrilla on or around the islands.
All those places it topped last year its growing this year plus a tad more, some islands out from bass bay have it topped first ten ft from the bank.
Those that have hydrilla are about 1 ft off the bottom in say 3 ft of water, and surprisingly on island heads, flats near the newjohnsonvill bridge are growing it as well as the first island uplake from it,above the steam plant.
Back bays like Birdsong are chock full of american lotus, beaver dam is healthy as well with veggies.
All most all the bays between the rr bridge and newhohnsonville contain pond weed.Elodea to be exact although other types present,as their are many different varieties.
Reeds, occasional cattails, frogsbit, duckweed all are present in the shallower portions.
This was just a peek it will all show later and more than most would think after the record high water.
