    Panfish

Can anyone tell me if they are seeing the bluegill on the nests yet? I would like to go and catch a few. Does anyone have any info on how good a lake is Elmer Davis.

Did good at Rough River this week. Caught some nice sized blue gill and small bass.
Waverly park in Jefferson County has plenty of blue gill but they are small.

Great lake for panfish. If you go there you should do very well if they are hitting. The lake has a good number of warmouths with some good size to them. The Grass is pretty thick there right now so just be ready for that.

I saw a few local KY Lake pros last weekend leaving the big bass boats at home, and venturing out in tin rigs for bluegill.....heard one guy had 80 in a matter of a couple hours. After seeing and hearing that, I would say it's on!

It's on. KY Lake is on fire right now. Hard to not catch bluegill. Crickets, waxworms and red worms using a bobber in about 2-4 feet of water, the more fairly close cover the better.

I went Friday pm. Caught some nice bluegill, they had already spawned out. They were all bucks protecting the nests, no sperm flying or none with any eggs. However, the crappie I caught were full of eggs. Fished Boltz lake near Dry Ridge, Ky.

    Re: Panfish

They are all on the tail end of the spawn protecting the nest. I caught over 200 yesterday. Most of the big ones have already spawned out.
