Hey, I was wondering if anybody has fly-fished the trammel fork where they stock the trout. I have fished there a few times with my grandfather, but with minimal success. We have each caught a brown trout but have yet to catch a rainbow. Where is the best place to go, what is the best fly to use, and when is the best time to go? Some advice would be appreciated.

Well, there are two access points, one on blankenship road and the other near pizza hut. They stock a little over a thousand bows every month from April to october. They stock 400 brown in march.
OK i see it on the map.You can get on the creek at Concord Church road too.
Richyd4u fishes there a lot. Probably know is at as well as anyone. He has talked a lot about it on here. You might want to do a search of previous topics and you can probably find the info you are looking for. If not, send him a PM. Also, stop in at the fly fishing board on this site.
I have fished Trammel for ten years now...there are two bridges where they do the stockings...Concord and Blankenship. Both areas are stocked monthly, just check on the KDFWR website for stocking dates. Hit it near the dates and use a beadhead nymph (doesn't really matter what kind) 4 foot under a strike indicator and you should be able to catch them until your arm falls off. Next months stocking should be up on the website soon...good luck and I may just run into ya down there.Hey, I was wondering if anybody has fly-fished the trammel fork where they stock the trout. Hey, thanks everybody, I can't wait to get out there.
I'm a student at western and I know there are places to fish and I love fishin but I was wondering where they put in the trout on trammell creek?
They stock the trout at the two bridges mentioned above. One bridge is at Concord Church and the other at Blankenship road. I have not fished it in years but I do not live too far from there. If you need more info about location let me know, can't tell you much about the bite..
Bringing this one back from the dead. Anyone fished trammel lately? I've been out quite a bit and had some great luck upstream of the bridge on Blankenship road
