Guist especially with kids. Lots of pan fish action. Right at the marina and hit every dock (especially older ones) with cork and minor snugged up to it.

Taking a buddy and his twins out on sunday. What's in better shape, Guist Creek or Taylorsville? Just wanting to catch some bluegill and I am sure the kids will want to swim some. I haven't been to either lake this year but these are the two closest to the house.

Im not even sure you can swim at Guist. Ive been there a dozen times and have yet to see anyone. Anyone else know anything about this? I do know I went to Guist this past Sunday and the couldnt hardly get a bass to bite.
I was thinking the same thing about never seeing anyone swimming in Guist. I haven't seen any signs saying not to swim though either. What about water levels and debris and all that good stuff? Is either lake better than the other in terms of debris and high water?
Guist is in better shape right now. Tville is still way high. not much debris. Possum ridge is the only ramp open and you're still launching out of the parking lot. Guist is about normal and yes you can swim in both.
Thanks Cman. That is what I needed to know.
A couple days after a flood Guist Creek is back at normal pool. One of the few lakes where if the water rise quickly it also retreats quickly. That lake is the hardest lake ive been on to catch bass. Going by the fish finder i've also never been on a lake that had so much bait fish. Could be what there getting full on and not biting artificial baits.
