Not sure about where you are but in the Evansville area a good day would be 8 to 10#. In a tournament a few weeks ago we weighed in 11.5#. Big fish for that day was 5.5 which I'll admit was a very unusually large bass for the river.......

I haven't fished the river in about 10 years. Going up next weekend around the Warsaw area. What would be considered a good day on the Ohio river..best 5 fish? I don't want to set my expectations to high.

Thanks Don...thats gives me idea of what to shoot for.
Yea..agree that 5.5 is a good fish for the river. A friend caught a 5lb on the co-angler side. He got 1st and big fish with that 1 fish the last time I was there.
Fishing the area down river from Cincinnati to Florence,In.
The last couple of tx on the river in Markland and Meldahl pools were under 10lbs. More like 6.5 to 8.5lbs. If you can get 5 fish limit you will get in the money and a good chance you will win.

I'll be fishing the markland pool in late October. Never fished the river before. What kind of patterns work there at that time of year?
You should feel pretty good about your chances if you can limit.
