Me and my buddy waded a very small feeder creek to Ohio river yesterday.never done this as this kind of fishing is usually not done in the crap creeks around here. I had a BLAST! We caught 23 Kentucky bass with three being keeper size. I'm happy to get three keepers this time of year anywhere on our pool of the river this time of year. Caught ahuge red eye and several slab pumpkin seed. I was amazed at the fish we caught so far back in this tiny creek. Great way to fish as hot as it is out. Stayed very cool. All fish on rooster tails.

i would wade and fish more creeks, but there are just few options around here. i never would have dreamed we caught some of the bass we did in these places. i really cant wait til next time. those pumpkin seeds flat knock the fire out of a rooster tail! when u have light action gear, it really makes it a great time. even caught a few creek chubs..lol.. im taking a grub and small tube with me next time as there were quite a few spots, not accessible by rooster tail, i believe, may have produced a few more nice bass.

Grubs and tubes are excellent choices for creeks. You should also consider a rebel wee craw and a small black buzz bait. Those are my go-to baits in the creeks.
