Anyone do any fishing in Hickman Creek?

I'm really curious as to how you can keep people from fishing Hickman. There's a more appropriate way to correct people than silly empty threats.

I do not think he meant it as a personal threat, but more of a warning that telling everyone about it will ruin it as a place that you can depend on to catch several fish. Just my opinion.

Etcfishin's post was hardly empty...it was the smartest one here yet.

If you guys talk about access points and specific locations in the open, especially on a small creek with limited access, prepare to take a number for parking spots eventually. It may not happen overnight, but it will happen soon enough.

Try fishing those holes behind a dozen other guys and a few meathogs, then let us know how many 3-pounders you caught.

And before you tell me I'm some nut, you should know that I've been fishing these little creeks and posting on message boards for years. I've made the same mistake you're making, but I learned...and you will too. When it's a bigger system like Elkhorn that everyone hears about every day it's one thing, but these little creeks can get real dang crowded real dang quick.

Hickman is a creek that we used to never even mention by name on here, much less post directions. Agree or not...but you ought to keep it in PM's among friends. Good luck!

The Bethany Road bridge is posted and after the assault at Mackey the Jessamine Co Sheriff's department and Game Wardens are stepping up patrols.....and the landowners are going to be a little less forgiving about trespassing on thier land. The bridges aren't by anyone but the land around it is.

Silly empty threats...BAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA...Th ere's a couple of us that have fished from Mackey to the Ky River with the exception of about a 5 mile stretch. And I didn't need to read about it to find it. BootLace Express was the train we rode.....Aint the right APB??

I really doubt his comment was meant as a threat. Splitshot and Redneckshad filled in the parts that he did not expand on.

I'm impressed, very impressed. There is alot of guys on this site that have VERY useful information that will help YOU and them. Instead of you getting mad you showed the ability to take sound advice and showed good judgement.
