    Wednesday - August 17th - COX PARK

    Wednesday - August 17th - COX PARK - $20 winner take all
    6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Sunset is at 8:34 pm, so we'll go to 9:00 pm
This will probably be the last one for the year, since the days are getting shorter in a hurry...about 2 min. shorter per day now...

    Cox Park - meet in parking lot around 5:30 - 5:45 p.m., takeoff at 6:00 p.m.

$20 per boat, winner take all
5 fish limit per boat - 12" on all bass
1 lb. deduction for each dead fish
    ties determined by largest bass

Previous winner (Daniel Day/Lee Blakeman) shall hold onto the entry fees during the tournament - holding the money is a proven curse.

Disqualification for any short fish brought in to be weighed - so make sure it measures at least 12"!

Stay out of Captain's Quarters marina - cast into the mouth of it all you want, but don't let your boat go past the "no fishing" sign...it's off limits. The rest of the river is fair game.

This is a casual event with an emphasis on fun. It's open to anyone, so tell your friends. It's very informal. It's not sanctioned, no memberships, or anything like that. It's officially non-official.

If you wish to launch at Duffy's, that's okay too, just come on over to Cox before 6:00 to put your money in the pot.

About 5 pounds which I think is real good since this is only 3 - 3.5 hour tournament. Which it might only take a 12" keeper this week you can never tell. Right place at the right time...

It took 4 lbs 10 oz to win last night (two fish)

Two other boats had two fish and a few other boats had one fish.

We also had the largest turnout that I can recall - 11 boats!

Was planning on this one being the last one for the summer, since the days are quickly getting shorter now and sunset about 10 minutes earlier each week. However, several have shown interest in squeeking in one more tournament - going to go at it again next week (Aug. 24)
