I completely understand if you dont wanna disclose, and if so just say its a secret but what kinda fly do you use? I just bought a fly rod and am still trying to figure the thing out lol. Id like to catch some carp sometime...thanks!

Well, it was a weird weekend that's for sure... Saturday was Blue Bird skies and slight wind, but I couldn't find a lot of feeding fish... and the ones I found, I blew the presentation. Today was a little better and after seeing all those Bass whacking the shad up in the coves while I was looking for Hillbilly Bones I had to have some fun while waiting for the cloud cover to burn off....
Caught a half dozen of these guys this morning... fun stuff... and when I say little... I mean little!!!

The clouds didn't burn off as much as I had anticipated so I went in search of Gold!!
Most of my usual spots had Bass fishermen on them so I decided to try some new water. Found a nice cut right before Brown's Ford Ramp that held some fish and struck Gold!! Spooked a bunch of fish though.... Went 1 for 12 today... just couldn't get the fly where it needed to be, but I've found a new area so I'll take that as a plus!

Hey, it's no problem at all!! Most of the summer I've been slinging a fly called the "Backstabber". The rust color has been the "go to" color/fly for me. If you tie flies you can google a good video on tying one up. I've been getting shut out the last few weekends though. I'm not a carp expert and I'm not sure if they are spawning or what. I've found fish, but they are not interested in eating at all. Gonna try and hunt down some this weekend though.
