    Hey Wormin,

They are putting on a free tournament. Below is what I got from John and Brad. If I was going to be in KY that weekend I would definetely fish it.

    Hello all,

We`ve heard some fishermen did not get the information regarding the open
tournament we will have on Herrington Lake on October 22.

If that`s the case with you, take a minute and click on the attachment and
check out what were doing. Free burgers ans hotdogs at the pre tournament
meeting on Wednesday the 19th right here at our tackle shop, and best of all
NO ENTRY FEE! You heard it right, no entry fee at all. Be here on the 19th
and we`ll sign you up. With a $2000.00 guarantee for first place its sure to
    be a great tournament.

The very best of all, our new friends, Faces of Coal will evulate us
following this tournament and once they see how dedicated our local anglers
are to tournament fishing we can move our annual tournament to a level seen
    never before.

We need your help! Stop by, sign up and fish with the Faces of Coal, and all
of the staff and friends at Backwater Outfitters.

    Hope to see you Wednesday.

Thanks Charlie I ran into Jimbo at Bryants and he told me about it but wasn't sure on the details. I may try to get to Backwaters and check it out. Hope all is well in South Carolina!

    Re: Backwaters

As much as I like free entry tourneys, this one ain't worth it. Faces of Coal is a coal industry front group run by Washington lobbyists. Spend some time on Google and search for "Faces of Coal" and read some articles. I don't suport mountain top removal as a method of extracting coal because the resulting impacts to water quality and the fewer jobs it provides when compared to underground mining.
