That's cool. You got the answer you wanted. Now just hope you never short out your trolling motor or anything else in the boat. That would be some irony........Good luck on the water. No pun intended.

    Re: Game Warden issue

I know this thread is done but I learned years ago that law and building codes are not absolute and always open for intrepration. I read and apply building codes in my job and I can tell you with 100% honesty that they are open for intrepation. Laws are the same (per my lawyer buddy) and what you did was correct. I do it all the time when i need an official interpretation but I use emails to keep a copy of the decision by the code enforcement officials in Frankfort.
I'm with you on not taking a skewed interpretation as gospel. Maybe it's just me but now I would go and buy one and keep in the boat.

Yeah, I might get one later. Probably should, but then again I should probably quit drinking so many cokes everyday. If it is best to have a fire extinguisher wasn't the issue. The issue was if I was breaking the law, which I was not, and should've been left alone.

It's best to just add a extinguisher to your boat. If you prove this guy wrong. He's just going to hassle you every chance he gets on the water. It's not even worth it. His way of letting you know his chest is bigger. Good luck

I doubt the officer will continue to hassle him. I was under the impression that harrassment can be frowned upon. Nobody should be afraid of the po-po (or any LE) in the US. If they they do then it must be STOPPED.

Sorry but batteries can explode. Lots of folks have been blinded by batteries exploding in the face.

Batteries may explode but they do not combust. Combustion is the reaction of a fuel to an external ignition and the result is heat. The chance of a fire is almost non existant do to an exploding battery.

    Angry Re: Game Warden issue

I would call Frankfort to verify the Law and then if you prove him wrong call his higher u[ and complain. That's just me I like the last word.
Then I would buy one anyway. You may save a Forest Fire or another boater.
