Sauger fishing at Meldah Dam

Anyone catching any sauger ? Drove up to the dam on the kentucky side to check out the progress of the plant they are building. They have a fisherman assess road that will lead you to the sandbar. Drove down there and did a little fishing..nothing. A fellow fishing there caught a couple of white bass and a drum. It is good they gave fisherman a place to assess the river at the dam but the good sauger fishing is usually closer to the dam. Well it looks like boat fishing is a must.

Sauger are not there yet. Water is too warm. In 2 weeks they should be starting to bite.
