Elkhorn Creek

What do you guys know Elkhorn now? There is a park Great Crossings i think, and it has good carp fishing. What are good baits for carp and smallies in this part of the creek?

for carp i just use crawdads or nightcrawlers, smallies right now i would throw topwaters- buzzbaits, poppers, small spooks, and i always have a fluke tied on.

I like niblet corn for carp - 2 or 3 kernels. I like a downsized jig this time of year for smallies.

I fished right below the dam & caught SM on spinner bait & jig right up too the dam

so for carp, in the winter, what would I use?

A 12-gauge might just do the trick.

Seriously, try some niblet corn.

Bow & arrow my choice for carp...................

wheaties and strawberry pop will get em in creeks. Used to slay em off that during summer months on 90 degree slick calm days but never gave it a try in the winter
