"I've read all sorts of theories on how Indiana will interpret this rig, relative to their standing 2 bait/2 hook rule, on various forums. I've even posted my own thoughts of interpretation on this site, but have now spoken personally with the South Region Supervisor as well as seen the official memo sent from Chief of Fisheries. Pending any contrary input from enforcement, fisheries personnel consider the Alabama Rig and it's like to be "one bait", similar to a jerkbait, etc. As such, you can run the full 5 bait configuration legally in Indiana. This is the official position/statement from IDNR as of today."

These might work for bass fishing...some....I dunno for crappie (which is what I like). Depends on speed and size I guess. Good luck with it.

Stopped by Gander Mtn. today to check on clearance stuff and seen they have Picasso Alabama rigs for $24.99 . Picked up a couple for next year . For the price Im only going to fish it in open water . Also ran across a Doug Hannon plastichttp://www.naturalmotionlures.com/ Original Fishing Snakes and wondered if anybody has tried them .
I was at Gander Mountain in Evansville yesterday and they still had about ten packs of these alabama rigs. Saw a guy buying one while I was there. They have them in the display case now. But 25 bucks is a lot to pay for one lure. Seems that the marketing guys are doing some fishing of their own to me. It won't be the first time that they talked us into buying some new type lure for lots of money.
