Does anyone know what ramps are open at Nolin now at winter pool?
Thanks,
Joe

Be very careful @ Wax and Iberia...especially if you aren't familiar with the area. Lots of 15ft to 1.5 ft stretches there....
State Park is also open. The best is Moutardier, four lanes, plenty of room to beach boat if by yourself. The dam is good, but it is a hike up to the parking lot. I don't like Wax at winter pool because it goes from a four lane to a two lane and it is busy most of the time. The State Park ramp stays pretty quiet and is not too busy, that is where I usually launch, I also stay at the lower end of the lake mostly, anyways.
EDIT: I saw Briar Creek and didn't put two and two together, that is the State Park ramp, sorry...
Thanks for the tip I'll stay upper Nolin in the head waters to avoid being swamped.
Speaking of swamped, Bacon Creek some 15 miles or so above Wax is an accessible boat ramp. Swift shallow water as your larger boats like 0927SC probably won't be able to put in on this ramp at winter pool yet I have no problem launching a 14 river jon off a trailer. Getting back up river can be quite challenging at this level yet do able.
