Do you have a boat?
It's really tough to beat KY Lake or Barkley in March, especially if you're a decent jerkbait fisherman. The black crappie bite is on in March as well.

I got a 18 foot triton with a 150. was looking at this site Kentucky lake cabins. look like its around the paris area. better with a jig lol
I know it may be a little longer trip, but try Lake Guntersville in Alabama. I have been going for 12 years now and we always catch a lot of LM. Several houses for vacation rental and a couple of nice hotels in the area. If my wife would let me I would relocate tomorrow to the Big G but she thinks family and friends are more important than 8 pound bass. She really needs to evaluate her priorities. LOL

She's a good woman, guess I'll keep her or at least convince her to keep me. Heck, she goes with me on occassion. 13 yrs of marriage and not one fishing complaint. Go to Guntersville last week of March and fish the grass flats with Xr-50's and jerk baits and you are sure to have agood time.

we talked about going there, but her idea is to leave the boat home and get a guide then drive to FL. All this in a week
As you know, late March weather can be real iffy in KY, TN, GA, AL, etc. I went on lots of Spring Break fishing trips to TN and AL when I was in school. The weather didn't cooperate about 75% of the time.
I have to agree with your wife. Leave the boat @ home and pay for a guide for a day or 2. Look up Art Ferguson @ www.artoffishing.com. He's an FLW pro who guides FL when not fishing tournaments. He guides out of his Marathon wrapped Triton and is a great guy from what I hear.
Lake Barkley State Park. Very nice.
I used to go to Destin in the fall and fish the Rodeo. Love saltwater fishing. We had planed to go this fall because its much cheaper and My buddy and his family go. So that way the girls can go shopping and the boys can go fishing lol. thanks everybody, I will post where we go
