The Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Commission will hold a special called meeting in Frankfort Feb. 3.
The meeting agenda contains one item: discussion of scaled rough fish harvest in the Asian Carp Harvest Program.
The special session will follow the Administrative, Fisheries and Wildlife Committee meetings. The first meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. Eastern time at the Arnold Mitchell Building, #1Sportsman's Lane, on the campus of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources in Frankfort. The campus is located off U.S. 60 approximately 1 miles west of U.S. 127.

Are there any educated estimates for how long until they end up infecting Barren River & Nolin lakes?
This is really such a shame that this is happening.
I would think there is a good chance they would not get in either of them. They will probably be in the tailwaters (if they are not already) but the only way I could see them getting into the lake is if someone inadvertently got them for bait while catching shad.

They can't get in unless stocked if there is not a lock and **** system at the ****. ie barkley/ ky lake. I have an idea about havest let it become a sport like sporting clays. Let the guys in the boat use shotguns instead of bows......
Why not simply build a huge processing plant and commercial fish them and turn them into fertilizer and protein for commercial feeds.
Like the fertilizer idea.
