Fished the Tailwater at Barren River Lake this afternoon. Hard to find room to cast my flies, but once I did, the fishing was excellent. Caught four, the longest over 22", (no scales), and had my leader snapped off twice. Two fish I caught took the line to the backing. Only fished about 45 minutes. Sort of a refreshing break while waiting for Cumberland to get to wadable water levels. Clouser minnows were the ticket, hybrids fight really hard and no guess work when they take the fly. Don't forget your net either if you plan on fishing for them!
