I would love to watch that whole movie as I have always liked William Holden. Now we do love to make an entrance dont we?? Must have taken that from the British I think. Very peaceful and orderly, thats us alright!! Thanks Grumpy.

You are welcome Gills, I thought you would like it. In defence of the rag tag Americans, if I remember correctly, they were all jail birds and released with the promise of freedom if they lived through a suicide mission.

I saw the Americans more as alot of testosterone during a down time and they were restless and stressed. Looked like a fight between the enlisted men and the officers. That certainly wouldnt happen now a days thats for sure!

I must say we still have great parades up here with the scottish in their kilts at each one. Strong influence of scottish and irish and french Canadians that fought in the wars. Tough men thats for sure even if some do wear kilts.
