I know there has been a ton of talk about the Night bite on LC latley, so I figured I would pass on my experience. I was concerned that the cold temps would really slow down the fishing. It got down to about 38 before we left. We put in at the Lilly Creek Ramp right at dark on Tuesday night. If you all remember correctly the wind was howling on Tuesday. My buddy had been fishing near the mouth on Sat. night and had good luck, so we started there.
With the wind blowing like it was there were no shad up at all that we could tell at the mouth. So we moved until we found a bank shaded from the wind and found the fish. The shad were there by the tons and so were the fish. Best fishing in a while for me. Only one keeper, with most every fish about 22". Caught most of our fish within ten feet of the bank. Cant wait to go back.
Thanks. That's some good information.
