Anyone know the abandon boat laws in KY? There is a pontoon boat just floating in this cove and it's been there for a long time up against the bank. The land where it's touching the bank isn't owned by anyone. It's a community owned area. It needs a lot of work, but the pontoons are in good shape. What should I do?

You might tell him you got him a free plug on fishin.com if he is not as helpful as you expect.
Write down the boat id numbers if you can see them. Comtact the KDFWR and explain to them what you have found how long its been there et etc. I can hardly see how you can go wrong with their suggestion.....they are the law after all. I would be very hesitant to even board the vessel much less untie it or tow it anyehere.
There was an abandoned boat at Guist Creek Lake a last year. CO went over to it to find any kind of identifying inforamtion so he could cite the owner.
Duck blind material right there.
There was one of them at Mckneely last year or the year before. Every time I went there it was in a different place, lol. I think it finally went over the spillway.
I was at Guist Thursday and there was a john boat tied up that had I think Penn. numbers and about a 2002 sticker
Yeah most boats I probably wouldn't mess with, but it's pretty easy to throw a new deck on a pontoon boat and cover it with carpet. Thanks for the help.
