    Sunglasses.. Cheap vs expensive

Hey guys. Wanting you thoughts on the best sunglasses for fishing. Are the $100+ glasses really worth it? What makes them so much better than the $10 ones? Thanks.

the polorized film in them are same thing. the high dollar one`s have two or three leneses to stop film from burnning up. $10.00 ones the film burns up in them after 6 months to a year.

I always scoffed at spending money on sunglasses. I got a pair of Oakley's a a while back for riding a bicycle, and I cannot believe how much better than vision is. Cheap sunglasses don't allow you to focus as sharply as expensive. That said, just because they're expensive does not mean they are high-quality. I don't really have any suggestions, except try out a bunch of different pairs.

Just go try on a polarized pair of Oakleys vs a cheap pair. Oakleys are worth the money IMO.

I fish wearing a pair of polarized Oakley's. They have lasted me about 8 years so far and were definitely worth the initial investment. Nothing compares.

    Here's my opinion,

I can't keep a pair long enough to buy an expensive pair. I can keep a pair for about a year and something always happens, whether i lose them or i break them. I get either the spider wire or berkley camo pair for about $15.00 at the wally world.

I used to go through several pair of shades a year so I always bought cheapies. Leave them somewhere, drop them and step on them, lose them falling in a hole wading, you name it.

The solution for me was to get a neck lanyard. I've had the same pair now for over 2 years.

I wear prescription glasses, and ride a motorcyle, as well as fish. I bit the bullet and spent almost $400 on prescription polarized oakleys. Best money I've ever spent. I wear them whenever I am driving, riding by bike, fishing, or just outside during the day.

The good ones are the Shiznit. The problem for me would be I would be Glasses poor quick. I'm harder on sunglasses then a Lab pup is on tennis shoes.

I buy the 25 to 30 dollar range ones at Di ck's and BPS they do alright and don't give me a noggin ache.

I'm in the same boat as you. Initial investment was large, but so worth it. Just don't lose them!
