mouth of the salt river and the ohio river

anyone had any luck bank fishing here if so where at and what did you use for bait i live in valley station so i am trying to find good close bank fishing i have fished at the mouth of the salt once but not much luck whats the best place to cast i know theres a good curent runin left so you have to use heavy sinkers but what am i missing any advice

Try jigging spoons in the 15-25' range at the mouth. Blade baits work well too, 3/4oz. If the baitfish are there you could catch hybrids, lm and sm bass, sauger and drum. Target their depths.
