I was going to head to Patoka this weekend and was wondering how the bass fishing was with water levels so low. I appreciate any heads up of low areas or if I should expect to find deeper water to catch the fish. Thanks in advance for any advise.

lots of sun and sweat
that and i got a bug in my ear and had to drown it with water to get it off my eardrum...
i plan on going tomorrow morning. will be throwing a buzzbait early around some stumps then who knows what after that. any advice would be great .. probably fish for crappie some as well so at least ill catch something. ill give you a report sometime in the evening hopefully
My dad and I were up there last weekend. Shaky heads did pretty well for us. Caught 1 about 3 lbs on a buzzbait early. Only taker. Good luck
got to the lake a little after 5 and started fishing by 5:30. threw a buzzbait until the sun came over the trees but with no luck. didnt even get a strike. tied on a shakey head with lake fork hyper worm and instantly started catching some. first was a rock bass/redeye. next was my biggest fish of the day, 3.02 lbs and PR on Patoka. after that just kept throwing that setup or with a zoom baby brush hog. ended up catching 5 other bass while having 2 come off. majority of the fish came off of a chunk rock bank that had some blown down wood structure. had a great trip until the big motor decided not to start and had to troll all the way back to the ramp. didnt even get the chance to crappie fish ..
Appreciate the info. I was planning on throwing a spinner bait first thing and see if I can get some reaction strikes. After about 7:30 am I was planing to pitch a beaver or 5" chigger craw aroung wood and rock. If that did not work I was going to find some deeper ledge or steeper banks and cast a 10" worm. I let every know how my day went tomorrow. Good luck to everyone fishing this weekend.

Threw a Popin Image as soon as it was light enough to see Thursday morning at Patoka...Caught two 5 lber's within a half a hour and lost a third...Buzz baits are good, but dont disregard a bait that sits still for a few seconds..the strikes I got were explosions...
