    canoe/kayak bass tournament?

just wanting to gauge the interest in a canoe/kayak bass tournament. Some friends and I are in the middle of a series right now and we are wanting to see if there is more interest around the etown area. We have had tourneys on nolin green and barren plus some smaller lakes. we would like to grow this series in the future. let me know if anyone is interested.

We are almost through with the series we are doing now but we have a fall series being planned. We are giving away some cool prizes for the series we are doing now. The points champ gets a kayak and the classic winner gets a kayak. If that happens to be the same person then second place gets one of the kayaks to make it fair to everyone. Plus other prizes. For the fall series we are talking about just paying out money which will depend on how many entrants there are. As far as where we fish we have fished Mcdougal lake and Salem lake in hodgenville ky, Iberia Ramp and Sportsman Paradise on nolin, Snake Creek ramp on Green and Brownsford on barren. The fall schedule isn't officially set yet but it will be about the same. Anymore questions let me know.

Sounds neat...how many participants have you been getting? I have been fishing the Elkhorn series as much as possible. Might be interested in heading down that way for a few fall events. How are you doing them - 1 fish, 2, 3, 5??? Definitely getting bigger.. I am thinking of starting something up around the Louisville area.

    rules are:

canoe, kayak or hobie system only no motors of any kind.
non boater can fish in canoe. in other words you can have two people in canoe but you each pay entry fee and fish seperate.
    no live bait
must have life jacket on boat
    no fishing from bank
no more than 5 fish on stringer (use chain stringer with seperate hooks)
we go by state laws as far as size limit

we haven't set the fall schedule in stone yet. we only have two more tourneys before our classic in the summer series. Of course we would love to have you come fish with us but i do want to let you know that there is not enough tourneys left to qualify for the classic. if you want to come try it out our next tourney is Aug 12 at 6:30 am at sportsman's paradise on nolin

i forgot to mention these are 100% payback tourneys all entry fees go to prizes and it will stay that way. the fall schedule will be 100% payback day of tourney. Next year when we do a points series again the more people that come out the better/more prizes we can give away at classic.
