    Patoka Lake Water LEvel

Are they drawing the lake down already or is the drought really starting to take a toll on the water level. It seems from Sunday to Sunday when I went the lake looked like it was down almost another foot.

I say the Drought is the reason. I fished last Tuesday, Friday and Yesterday I noticed a drop also and the Fishing has been awful for me during the week. The Bass are not biting for me. If anyone else is having any luck let me in on the secret.

It is the drought.... They didn't hold any water back this spring, because they were afraid of getting too much rain and having the lake get over flood stage like last year. We didn't get the spring rains, the lake never filled & then the drought = Low lake!

Thermocline is at 18 ft deep.

Don't fish below 18 ft deep.

With the lake level low the fish will be concentrated and easier to catch. There is less water to search.

Patoka is only down 4.1 feet. Been within a 6 to 8 inch range most of the summer.
