    Peabody WMA

I'm planning a trip to Peabody to try for some bluegills and redears. I like to set out a few jugs while I am fishing and was wondering if anyone knows if there is a decent catfish population in any of the Peabody lakes. If so, which lake would be my best bet. Thanks in advance.

Ive caught a few in the two big lakes as you go in, the ones on the left, Island lake and South Lakes. Caught one over 5 a few yrs back on a "buzzbait", yep, and saw one over 15 caught on south lake on a jig/pig. near the tires. There are cats in all the lakes there, these two would be best bet. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I'll give those two a try. I spoke with the Peabody manager this morning and he recommended Goose Lake. It appears that Goose Lake is near Drakesboro so it will take two trips to check out both areas. I know it's a tough job but someone has to do it. LOL
