    Double header

A buddy of mine sent me this picture from his trip to Michigan. Does anyone think the bass on the right is strange looking? I think it must be some kind of cross between largemouth and smallmouth.

It's not a cross, the one on the right is a sm and the one on the left is just a normal northern strain LM. I catch them looking like that in St. Clair all the time, they have a darker color and fight very very hard compared to other LM.

Not being a smartass but don't you mean the other way around. The one of the left is the smallmouth...

I appreciate the responses. I surely don't know what that fish is. I've had several people tell me without a doubt it's a largemouth. The fellow that caught the fish is very familiar with fishing in Michigan and hadn't caught any fish that looked like that one. He thought it looked strange compared to all the other bass he has caught.
