I aat the Comfort Suites in Scottsboro. Parking lot has penty of light, leave your boat hooked to the truck, charging plugs, and if you tell them you are coming to fish you get a better rate.

Thanks to all that reply in advance. We will be leaving Louisville Thursday night November 1st around midnight or so. It takes us 5 hours to get there. We need a place to stay Friday and Saturday nights hopefully closer to where the grass bite might be. Just need Safe and Clean..... not looking for a 5 star.
We came down last year and only had 1 day and just got a taste of the frog bite.... Hope it is there this year. Any suggestions on places to stay or general areas... not looking for holes.... would be great. My personal email is ken_mohr@yahoo.com if you want to send me an email.
Thanks again

I'm sure the Comfort Inn is a nice hotel, but I advise staying out of Scottsboro as the Scottsboro City Council approved spending thousand's of tax dollars on spraying/killing the grass in one of the major creeks in the northern section of the lake this past summer. They did this regardless of the local fishermen's protests...which tells you that the council men/women of Scottsboro do not support fishing in that portion of the lake.
My advice is to travel just a little bit further into Guntersville and stay in one of the hotels there. They are clean and safe as well and the people in that city support bass fishing.
The Best Western Plus in Guntersville is nice and clean. All the hotels can be found on www.northalabama.org. Look for Scottsboro and Guntersville.
