white bass/hybrid in dix river head water or not in fall?

I live in lexington and plan to do some fishing for white bass this weekend. Anybody has any infomation if white bass/hybrid in Herrington lake get into dix river head water to chase shad? Thanks in advance.

I fish the main lake a lot. I find this time of year the shad are well dispersed. I would expect it to be the same up in the headwaters of the Dix. Should be better upstream than in the main lake. let's us know what you find.

Thanks a lot for the info. The weather was not cooperative last two weekends. We did not go and try in Dix River. Now it seems a little too late. We will try next fall.

Was there last night with my son and my buddy was there on Saturday. There are so many shad out there approx 1.5"-2.5" long that it looks like rain dimpling the surface of the dix near the mouth at the KY River.
Yes you can catch whites, hybrids and stripers there. I fished for about 20 minutes because I was mainly there to run my boat didn't do any good at all. My buddy fished Saturday and didn't catch a thing either.
It can be awesome. I have been down there and caught 30-35 fish in 30-35 minutes.
