You can fish it, no gasoline motor allowed, I assume electric motors are okay. I've never fished it. But my dad has both recently and when he was young. He said it's super clear and a tough bite but there are some really nice fish in there. I would fish it very finesse.

Ive wondered that as well it is a nice looking lake with the boulders and stick-ups. Ive pulled off and looked at it before they made the parkway 4 lanes and there were gills down there that looked like a pound or better suspended around the cliffs.

    Campton lake

Sorry fellas, they have completely fenced in all access areas. lots of folks upset. This used to be the summertime rec area for the residents of Campton but now they have it all sealed off and off limits. I do not know why.I went last fall and presto,10 ft fence with barbed wire on top.

I grew up there, we would swim up there all summer long. Fishing was best at night, the lake was as clear as any I have ever seen. There once were some nice bass in there and I would imagine that there still is. You access it from what we called Lake rd, runs behind the old courthouse in Campton. At one time you we would drag our two man boats over the concrete barrier at the dam and fish. There is probaly still access up the lake, but you would have to go through private land. At one time there was a actual boat ramp, it was on private land as well.
