Red face Lake cumberland fish stocking

Heard a report that they were going to stock 150,000 additional strippers and 150,000 additional walleyes in Cumberland. I don`t know just how many they usually stock but that seems like a lot of fish. Get ready fellows it will be like the good ole days.

    Good Deal

I sure hope the report is accurate. I love early spring night time Striper fishing on Cumberland. Mainly a Smallmouth fisherman, but the night time Striper & Walleye bite is something I truly enjoy with the exception of loosing all that sleep. lol I sure hope it gets back to what it was before the drawdown in where every Striper caught was a keeper as nothing compared to the topwater night bite then.

Most of the fish caught this spring will be small keepers.

    Yep

I just hope we have a normal spring without all of the flooding so fish will have a good chance at a big spawn. Year before last my buddy & I were seeing Largemouth & Spots locked down hard & 2 weeks later there wasn't any water even close to where they were locked down so I figured those had been lost. I just hope it doesn't get the big spring floods this year & you talking about a bunch of lowerunits destroyed with the corps raising it 20Ft. this spring. I'll probably revert back to Green this spring until it's safe to run at night. lol Maybe the Kentucks will be able to make a serious comeback the next few years as well.
