Any body been tying flies this winter?

Have to admit, not me and no reason for it! Just had me mind on other things. But not today. Got out the cleaning brush and cleared of the work bench. My last project was to (not related to flies) tie up some jigs for smallmouth, purchased the materials, researched some patterns last year, but the never executed the project. Shame on me. So with the best of intentions, over the next several weeks, I hope to have a few additions to me smallmouth tackle box.

How about other readers of the forum. Any activity? Share it with us and post pictures if you have them. Note, only 4 weeks till spring!

Now if I could only find that leak in me waders?

Same here kinda. Too much rat race stuff going on all the time my mind recoils in disgust and retreats to my happy place, in fact one of the few places many of us really feel alive; the woods and waterways. Been doing a lot of this, https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...45120703304763, Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...84788812480623, whenever possible, ie. when the stream is thawed enough we can bust the ice out with lead weights or if we're lucky it is clear. First one is my twin, the other two are me. One before I shaved my beard and one more recently. Yeah that's right, we spend our spare time making fish porn. So?

I have been slacking but I am getting ready to tie up some warm water stuff in the next couple of days. Also going to experiment with some fox hair and racoon that I aquired running my traps this winter.

Can I get in on some of that native fur? I'll trade you whole pheasant skins blasted from the sky's of the finest game mills southern Ohio has to offer. Or craft fur, have about ten feet of brown from my Halloween costume. Click image for larger version.
