Sauger

Well we were killin the sauger last week in the duck pond, last Sunday I got my limit in 2 hours and thats throwing back a bunch of cigars (small ones) I had minnows that day . Then we went back Monday with no minnows and still caught them !! Even got a 3.5lb Hybrid Striperr

Now the River is way up and un-fishable

You're lucky to have a boat. I've been waiting or it to be fishable by land.

I'd much rather fish the Ohio than go to Patoka, but the river is just too high now and rising. Soon, jfw,soon I'll be back on the river.

Jay I was hittin them pretty good Fri. till they popped the 5th gate open on the upper dam then nuttin. And the wind was a major pain.Chuck

I'm glad I cancelled by trip this weekend. We were going to do the river Saturday, but I chickened out when I saw the expected river levels and amount it was rising on the lower. Add the wind and the chill in the AM, plus blue bird skies, and I guess I was better drinking brews on the back porch. :-)

yes Tyme they make the best fish sandwich there is ..in my opinion ...will be eating my last mess tomorrow ...hopefully it will come back down so we can get some more befoe it gets too warm
