Any bank fishing tips for Barren River?

Looking for help? I am at Barren River at the resort for the week without a boat. The tailwater is not flowing. I am needing help on any tips for bank fishing. I am willing to fish for any species with live or artificial baits and go anywhere on the lake. It will mostly be in the afternoons after 4pm when I get out of training. Thanks for any help!

Check out Port Oliver. I dunno what the water level is, but there is access everywhere around the ramp.

Also check out the fishing pier down by the Narrows. Off of 31-E, take the road leading to the Narrows boat dock. At the stop sign (by the store) take a left. Follow it till it dead ends. You'll see it. Brush and other fish attractors have been put there. Good luck.

looks like barren is still down about 5 ft so that should make walking the banks ok. i havnt bank fished barren much but i have at other lakes. just start walkin the bank at any ramp. iwould recomend a somewhat weedless lure buzzbait, small spinner or some type of plastic. you may find a place walking that looks good for crappies you could get yourself a bucket of minnows and try that to. good luck

In addition to the other responses, there is some access at the Peters Creek and Skaggs Creek bridges. If the water is reasonably clear, you may be able to have good success at either location. Good luck!
