Well I did a little bit of both. I cut the grass and then went over to the pits to try my luck. But I found upon arrival that I didn't have any new 2 lb fishing line to put on my reel. SO I just watched everyone else fish.

Fish were being reported caught in 7 ft of water and some crappie were also being caught deep.

Yesterday was a beautiful day to fish. It was slightly cloudy but mostly sunny. The air temperatures were in the 70
s and it was comfortable in a "T" shirt and shorts.

Water is still only about 64 deg F at the Surface in the shallow Northern Areas of the lake that are exposed to the Southern Sun.

Crappie are full of eggs but they won't start to lay those eggs until the roe gets the blood vessels enlarged around the egg sack. If you have cleaned a lot of fish you know what I'm talking about then.

Now I need to figure how who sells the 2lb stren around Evansville. I need three spools of this stuff for my three ultra light rods.
