Any body been fishing for stripers in the last week. Are the shad coming up at night?

I fished last Saturday and Sunday morning. Caught some on weightless planners about half way up the creek. One was on a 20' downline. I netted bait before first light and did not hear much activity, but that was at the mouth of the creek.

We caught one about 9:30 Eastern last night on a jointed bomber....some shad and a few stripers hitting top about mid ck.

We also caught one the night before about 8 PM. Both nights the stripers were coming to the top....some on the bank others mid lake. If you just happen to be at the right place at the right time you could catch them.

Both nice and healthy around 25". We didn't stay out long either night.

Gonna try and get out of some house work this weekend n try it friday or saturday night. If i do i'll report back

My group will be there May 2nd - 5th fishing mostly the night bite. We will be fishing out of Alligator II Marina. Are there any reports around that area? Any thing would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, PCT

One thing I want to make sure of....when I said stripers were coming to the top both nights I mean before it actually got dark. Small "jumps". We did see one against the bank from a long distance that was pretty nice. 8PM - 8:30 Eastern both nights.
