The Scale of the Universe 2

Our perception of what the "universe" is has changed so much over time. It wasn't that long ago that it was widely believed that the Milky Way was it. Now we know we live in this immense universe, and many cosmologists now believe that ours isn't the only one, and what began with the Big Bang may be one of an infinite number of universes, all existing together in the "multiverse." I'm open to all possibilities, if only because of the somewhat childish notion that the universe can't just end; there HAS to be something else beyond it.
I was confused by the number they gave for the size of the Universe, 160 billion light years, so I googled that... not much less confused now.
