    very interesting

Rand Paul brought up the subject of military aid to Egypt. Today on NPR an interesting fact was brought to light. The 1.3 billion we send to the Egyptians is a numbers game! The money never leaves this country! It is paid to defense contractors, who then ship the material to them. The biggest purchases are F-16 fighters, and Abrahms battle tanks. It is suggested that there are over 300 brand new tanks, that have never been uncrated, and fighters that have not been flown because a lack of pilots.Does this make sense to anyone except the defense lobby? Egypt may have more battle tanks than we do!Remember[some of you are not old enough too] Eishahauer warned us to beware of the American arms industry, did we listen? Apparently not.

    lobbying

That's why I'm totally for an over haul of the lobby system! We keep hearing about welfare reform, and entitlements,But nothing about corporate welfare. But defense contractors hire workers, and some of the stuff they buy is out sourced. This just didn't start with nobahma, been going on for years. Think about this. CONGRESS HAS NOT DECLARED WAR ON ANYONE SINCE 1942. But we have been fighting for over60 years almost with out stopping. And what did we gain?
