WOW.
I wonder if they will track the DNA to a particular group of wolves.......maybe wolves from Upper Michigan, or wolves from out west.
I just got back from the UP of Michigan. Maybe he followed me down from there for my fish!
Are you worried about wolves?

A Nolin Lake black bear sighting and a wolf in Hart County.
Last fall I saw a white snowy owl flying around Nolin's Piney Creek and it's not unusual to see a bald eagle at Nolin.
What's next?
I see deer everyday and I live in the city. We have pushed wildlife out of there natural habitat and now they are adjusting and evolving with the changing time, The wolves might help curd the coyote pop a little, but they will thin the deer herd some, We too populated here for wolves, but they were here first.
Isn't it illegal to kill a wolf? I mean if I shoot a crane while goose hunting I would be toast? Shame he had to kill it although he thought it was a coyote, they should have to be able to identify their game before they shoot just like everyone else.
There are quite a few hogs in the southern part of the state. Won't be long and it won't be coyotes that farmers are griping about.
That was my first thought. He will be lucky if he doesn't end up with some type of fine form the federal government, or worse.
I dont see how he could be fined, there hasnt been wolf in kentucky since the 1800's so im sure he thought it to be a coyote. I dont think he will be fined for shooting a protected animal that there has been no sighting of in kentucky for over a century---but thats just my opinion--maybe kfwd will look at it differently
I doubt KFWD would either, I was thinking more about the federal government. The Feds too often have displayed that they don't care about a common sense reason behind something. like in this case a person wouldn't ever expect it to be a wolf, they just go about their agenda, and I believe the wolf is protected under the U.S. Endangered Species Act.
