    Helix graph questions

Decided to buy this unit, going with the nine. ( now an Boat show season possibly)
Will be adding the Terrova minn Kota
With plans to use the 2 in concert with each other.
I want the chip that will cover Dale.
I need to target bottom structure
    as well as bait fish/fish

Is there a particular transducer that
    does better at targeting ?

Not sure what features are a must
I see various prices for the 9?

A few of my buds are in the process of learning the bells an whistles of this unit.

Perhaps a few seminars would be handy. Thanks any thoughts?

    I have a Helix 9 Gen 2. I Like it...........

The side imaging transducer that comes with it, is not as good with the Down Imaging side of the fence as a standard Down Imaging HD transducer.

If you ONLY plan on using down imaging, I'd get the HD Down Image transducer.......if you plan on using both down and side from the same unit, I'd almost get a splitter, and go that route............

I bought the nine DI on bow like the unit use split screen with down image and graph still experimenting with it. There are some great videos on u tube I found out after I bought the nine that the ten has a lot better transducer and will show DownAnd side images a lot clearer but it cost more

The normal 9 and 10's have the same transducer. I believe what you saw was maybe the mega imaging and you can get that in the 9 also. The mega is amazing and produces better cleaber images.

Mega cannot be used on older units.......you have to have a GEN2 unit to use Mega........and Mega blows the HD and Compact transducer AWAY, but Mega is a technology system upgrade, nut just the transducer.
